Licence to perform dogging

Duration:

5 Days

This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work (HRW) and is a legal requirement for any person who directs the operators of mobile and tower cranes.

It will provide the skills and knowledge required to direct the crane operator to safely sling and direct loads, and to maintain and care for dogging equipment.

Course Delivery

On acceptance of enrolment, a learner guide and review questions will be provided to the student. To fulfil the training requirements for this course, the student must read through this, attempt and/or complete the review questions and bring both with them on the day.

The course consists of face-to-face theory, mathematical and practical training. Students may require additional mathematical study time during the training to ensure the best possible chance of a successful outcome.

Assessment is conducted through a combination of practical demonstration and verbal or written questioning, including mathematics.
