The target group for this qualification are developing coordinators, advisors and facilitators who can provide guidance to others.
This qualification is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. Applicants at this level will have a broad factual, technical and some theoretical knowledge of a specific area or a broad field of work and learning.
The qualification reflects the role of workers who apply a broad knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of contexts and may include coordinators, advisors and facilitators.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification.
The expected completion period is a maximum of 36 months.
Qualification Structuring Rules:
The following table provides the packaging rules for this qualification, followed by the list of relevant units of competency.
Successful completion of ten (10) units of competency made up of:
five (5) core units, and
five (5) elective units of which:
three (3) must be from group A
two (2) may be from group A, Group B or any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at the same qualification level
if not listed in course list, one (1) elective unit may be selected from a Certificate III or Diploma level from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
Care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified within imported units, or units chosen as electives, are complied with.

Learning Needs of Candidates
Majority of units in this qualification have key competencies at Level 4, which indicates a high level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy. RTO administers a LLN assessment to all candidates at the ‘sign up’ stage to determine any required needs; and through their monitoring process can identify areas of concern and offer support throughout the course progression.
